1M4 Sista Checkin
Biweekly check-in to ensure we all have a community, safe space, and the opportunity for open discussion about what we're excited about, bothered by, and/or have questions on. It's our time to just talk and be us.

After hearing of the murders of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor… along with the heaviness of Covid 19’s impact on the Black community… we as Black women will meet virtually to release our anger & frustrations then end the conversation with actionable goals to turn our anger into fuel.
This Sista Checkin we’ll discuss the importance of therapy. I invited my therapist to join in on the discussion. It’s important that we protect our mental health.
This checkin we’re joined by my dear friend, LaToya Roberson, as she guides us through a writing exercise to promote our inner peace so we can continue in this much needed work.
Update and information on recruitment, initiatives, financials, and upcoming events
We’re keeping it raw and real. Asking tough questions of this Officer and voicing our concerns regarding policing in America
Those who understand the injustices in policing most are those closest to its impact. We’ll speak with a family directly impacted by the loss of loved one due to police misconduct.
1M4 Members only planning session
We will discuss the importance of being self-aware and learn methods to manage our reactions and responses to emotional triggers. Nory Pouncil of iamhealthyfit will be our special guest facilitator.
Setting aside time to checkin with our Sista Circle. Sis, how are you feeling? Like for real?
We’ll talk to a Public Defender about her role, the obstacles she faces, areas of improvement needed and ways in which 1M4 can encourage the next generation with interest in criminal justice.
Join in on the discussion and education of the criminal justice system from the perspective of a Public Defender and a Prosecutor. Last Sista Checkin we ran out of time…but We Got Time TUH-Day! Let’s talk about it
