Black Youth Suicide Prevention (1M4 Sista Checkin)

The rate of suicide and suicide attempts for Black youth has increased in recent years. As of 2018, suicide became the second leading cause of death in Black children aged 10-14, and the third leading cause of death in Black adolescents aged 15-19*
1M4 can not ignore this data. So we are addressing it directly through education and transparency during this Sista Checkin.
With September being Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, it is the perfect time to learn about the warning signs and ways to address this sensitive topic with our children.
1M4 has invited Nationally Certified School Psychologists to share their knowledge and help us preserve the wellbeing and lives of our children.
