This Sista Check-in we’re holding space…to grieve, to breathe, to be…

I was initially going to cancel tonight’s Sista Checkin but…
Times like these are what we created it for.

To hold space for grief, anger, frustration, and the like in community with one another.

To be fully transparent, the latest domestic act of terror in Buffalo hit hard…really hard.

When I lived in upstate New York, our church traveled to Buffalo often for tent meetings, revivals, “Women in White” days etc. Pretty much all our large gathering events happened in that area of Buffalo. So when I saw what happened at the grocery store, it gutted me.

In an effort to hold space for my own grief, we’ll use tonight’s Sista Checkin to simply give space and grace to one another.

I can not promise you tonight’s check-in will be uplifting and empowering…but I can promise you that you will be heard, acknowledged, and cared for.
