Today and this month represent a lot in our community.

1) Mothers Day

2) Mental Health Month

3) Maternal Mental Health Month

4) Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week

1M4 is overjoyed to share with you the first video released in partnership with Georgetown Law CICS and Canopy Roots’ Minneapolis Behavioral Crisis Response (BCR). The purpose of this series is to highlight the lifesaving work of alternative response teams from the perspective of the community they were created to serve.

Note:  the hair, nails, colors, and language used. This video represents us, our community and our commitment to getting our loved ones the help they need without interacting with law enforcement.

Watch, share, and comment on the video to help us advocate for more community based response teams across the nation.

Yeah, we see what’s happening…

“There is no way to be a perfect mother but one million ways to be a good one.”
— Jill Churchill

Thank you to our supporters at Sozosei Foundation for helping our vision come to fruition.

Your Expertise is Needed!

We’re completely revamping The Right Response Directory and need your input to ensure it meets our community’s needs.

This critical resource connects you to alternative first-response programs offering compassionate support through peer responders, clinicians, and trained EMTs for calls like welfare checks, noise complaints, traffic incidents, and mental health crises.

Your feedback is vital for us to improve. Please take a few minutes to complete our confidential survey. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Spread Some Blessings!

The consequences of police violence extend far beyond the loss of life. For families affected, it’s the loss of income, the sacrifice of basic necessities, and the start of a high-cost legal fight. If you have the capacity, consider donating to 1M4. Proceeds help support impacted families and sustain the work of 1M4 toward ending police violence for good.
